B2 First (FCE)

B2 First (FCE) is an exam at Upper-Intermediate level. A B2 First qualification proves you have the language skills and abilities to work and live in an English-speaking environment by demonstrating your knowledge of everyday written and spoken English. This qualification shows that you are able to communicate your ideas and opinions effectively, both written and spoken, write reports and emails as well as follow and understand English conversations.

The B2 First exam can be computer or paper-based. The exam will approximately take about 3.5 hours. 

The exam is divided into 4 parts:

  • Reading and Use of English (1 hour 15 minutes)
  • Writing (1 hour 20 minutes)
  • Listening (about 40 minutes)
  • Speaking (14 minutes)

C1 Advanced (CAE)

C1 Advanced (CAE) is an exam at Advanced level that’s accepted by more than 8,000 universities and colleges, businesses and governments worldwide. All UK universities now accept the C1 Advanced qualification and having this qualification will allow you to enrol in academic courses at university. 
This high-level qualification proves that you have the necessary in-depth knowledge and command of the English language to express yourself in a wide variety of professional and social situations. Without a doubt, having a C1 Advanced certification will allow you to benefit from new international work, travel or study opportunities

The C1 Advanced exam can be computer or paper-based. The exam will approximately take about 4 hours. The exam is divided into 4 parts:

  • Reading and Use of English (1 hour 30 minutes)
  • Writing (1 hour 30 minutes)
  • Listening (about 40 minutes)
  • Speaking (15 minutes)

C2 Proficiency (CPE)

C2 Proficiency (CPE) is an exam at C2 level, the highest level of the Common European Framework. This certificate reflects your ability to master the English language on an exceptional level. Passing the C2 Proficiency exam proves that you are a highly competent English speaker and have the necessary skills to work in a senior professional environment. This qualification also allows you to enrol in postgraduate and PhD programmes, as you’re able to understand and talk about very complex issues with fluency and ease. 
This qualification shows that you have mastered English and can use it fluently in demanding research, academic and professional situations. This is the highest Cambridge English qualification. Your C2 Proficiency certificate is recognized worldwide and is for professionals and individuals who want to demonstrate an exceptional level of English.
