Morning or Afternoon session?

‘Morning’ Session

09.00-12.00: Listening ( 30 minutes), Reading ( 60 minutes ), and Writing ( 60 minutes ) tests.

For the morning Listening, Reading and Writing tests you need to arrive at the test centre between 08.15-08.45. The test session begins at 09.00.

Speaking test ( 20 minutes ) scheduled between 12.40-17.00 – you select a test time. You need to be at the test centre 20 minutes before your test time.

If you are late for the beginning of your Speaking test, you must phone BLTC immediately 020 6223635 to see what your options are.  

‘Afternoon’ session

Speaking test ( 20 minutes ) scheduled between 09.00-12.00  – you select a test time. You need to be at the test centre 20 minutes before your test time.

13.00-16.00: Listening ( 30 minutes ), Reading ( 60minutes ), and Writing ( 60 minutes )  tests.

Important notice: On your test day, you must bring the same ID document you registered with online to take the test. Your ID will be checked before each test. If you bring a different ID document, you will not be allowed to take the test and not be able to transfer to another test date nor be refunded.  A Driving Licence is not accepted.

A new ID?
If you receive a new ID document – different from the one you registered with – you need to inform the IELTS department by email ( bltc@bltc.nl ) including a photograph of your new ID document.  A Driving Licence is not accepted.  

Cloakroom for personal belongings.
Personal belongings are not allowed inside the test room. This includes watches, pens, pencils, coats, bags, mobile phones and other electronic devices. You will be able to store your personal items in lockers or a secure cloakroom.

You can take a transparent bottle of water into the test room if you remove all the writing labels on the bottle.

Supervision of the tests.
A test day supervisor/invigilator is always in the test room and will give you instructions on how to operate the computers and support you if there are any questions or problems with the equipment during the tests.
