On the test day, you will only be admitted to the test if you have the ID document you registered with.

You can do so here.
After your payment, the email you receive confirming both your payment and test date may take up to 3 days to be sent to you – perhaps longer if you pay before a weekend. Do not worry about this, we need to manually check the ID document you uploaded when you registered and paid in order to ensure that all your personal information is correct in our system.

Unable to upload your ID?

Send a clearly legible copy of your passport (ID cards will only be accepted if you are an EU national) by email no later than 5 days after registration.

A new passport?

If you receive a new passport after registering for the test with the old passport, you need to inform the IELTS administration of the new passport number immediately by sending an email to the IELTS department. You cannot take the test with an out-of-date passport number.
